It’s not easy to leave such a beautiful spot, but I did venture on a day trip to Arezzo with the crew, a little medieval hamlet nestled on a hilltop. I climbed a Clock Tower for views. I browsed a church with 900-year-old frescoes that had been plastered over and then discovered again. I had a delicious lunch of caprese, risotto, and vino.
A day off the property was divine, but now I’m back to the real reason I came here—to write my ass off. I’ve been productive—14k words and Part One of Book 3 done. I’ll be starting Part Two today.
THE UNITED CONTINUUMS is well underway.
It’s not exactly a hardship when I can write poolside. I got one last swimming day in Sunday before the weather has turned decidedly cooler. Hello, September. Hello, fall. A nice break from sweltering Los Angeles.
I return home on Saturday via Rome. Three weeks was the right choice. I’ve loved my time away—especially the incredible meals, the vino, and the writing time. But I miss my fur baby and my hubby. Going away makes coming home that much sweeter, doesn’t it?
There are a few spots left for the Lemon Tree House in April—not to be missed!
